Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC)

Posted Date: 03/04/26 (02:00 PM)

Dear South Whittier School District Community Members,

The South Whittier School District has established a Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC) to oversee the expenditure of Measure K bond funds, which was approved by voters on March 5, 2026.

We are currently seeking applications from interested citizens to serve on the committee, specifically in the following representative categories:
  • Taxpayer
  • Senior Citizen
  • Parent / PTA Representative
The Committee will consist of seven members who will meet to review and report on bond fund expenditures to ensure they are used only for voter-approved purposes. This oversight is required by law and is a key part of the accountability promised to our voters.
If you are interested in serving, please complete the application here: Application to CBOC.   If you have any questions, please contact the Business District Office at (562) 944-6231.
