Attendance/Tardies/Early Release from School/Perfect Attendance

By understanding and promoting that EVERY DAY COUNTS in your child’s education, together we can continue making positive steps forward in your child’s future.  Every day a student is in school he/she raises his/her opportunity to do well in school, which begins with being PRESENT and ON-TIME EVERY DAY.  Please follow the guidelines below:

Attendance/Tardies/ Early Release

• Please send a note or call the school at (562) 941-2132 when your child is out ill.
• An absence can only be EXCUSED by providing the following documentation: doctor/dentist appointment, funeral, or court hearing.
• It is very important that vacations and one day trips are planned only when school is not in session.
• Students who are unexcused from school for more than 5 days, may be removed from the school register and must re-enroll upon return. Available space is not guaranteed.
• Adults, including parents/guardians, on the emergency contact list are required to show identification before students will be released.
• We WILL NOT release children by telephone request.  In addition, we will not release a child to anyone who is not specifically listed on the child’s emergency contact list. Please update your contacts every year.
• It is the parent’s responsibility to maintain the most current contact information on the AERIES parent portal.
• Tardies and early releases of more than 30 minutes will count as an absence.

Perfect Attendance: Awards will be given to scholars with no absences, no tardies, or no early pick-up (Tardies for visits to the doctor or dentist will only be excused with a note from the doctor or dentist for the duration of the appointment; the student must return to school after the appointment.)

Al comprender y promover CADA DIA CUENTA en la educación de su hijo, juntos podemos continuar dando pasos positivos en el futuro de su hijo. Cada día que un estudiante está en la escuela, él / ella aumenta su oportunidad de hacerlo bien en la escuela, que comienza con estar presente y puntualmente todos los días. Por favor, siga las pautas a continuación:

Asistencia / Tardanzas / Salida temprana
1. Por favor envíe una nota o llame a la escuela al (562) 941-2132 cuando su hijo esté enfermo.
2. Una ausencia solo se puede EXCUSAR proporcionando la siguiente documentación: cita con el    

    médico/dentista, funeral o audiencia en el tribunal.
3. Es muy importante que las vacaciones y los viajes de un día estén planeados sólo cuando la escuela  

    no está en sesión.
4. Los estudiantes que no hayan sido excusados ​​de la escuela por más de 5 días, serán eliminados del 

    registro escolar y deben volver a inscribirse a su regreso. El espacio disponible no está garantizado.
5. Se requiere que los adultos en la lista de contactos de emergencia muestren identificación antes de 

    que los estudiantes sean liberados.
6. NO PONDREMOS a los niños por solicitud telefónica. Además, no liberaremos a un niño a ninguna 

    persona que no esté específicamente incluida en la lista de contactos de emergencia del niño.
7. Es responsabilidad de los padres mantener la información de contacto más actualizada en el portal 

    para padres.

8. Las tardanzas y la salida anticipada de más de 30 minutos contarán como una ausencia.
   Asistencia perfecta
   Se otorgarán premios de asistencia perfecta a los estudiantes que NO tengan tardanzas, ausencias o salidas tempranas. (Las tardanzas para las visitas al médico o al dentista sólo serán justificadas con una nota del médico o dentista y el estudiante deberá regresar a la escuela después de la cita).
